  Feel the failure before success

For most of us, MONEY is the key deciding factor of our career choice. In today’s world earning a lot of money has become the definition of success. Mr. Pramod Kumar was also indifferent until his graduation and decided to join a highly paid multi-national company. After a few years of working there, he realized that for him the pseudo definition of success is not earning a lot of MONEY but to follow his passion of teaching.

Mr. Pramod Kumar hails from a small village of Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan), and did his primary education from the same village. Later, he went to a town, then to a city, and finally to another state to pursue his studies. Despite being a brilliant student and also well prepared for IIT and AIEEE entrance examinations for a year, he unfortunately didn’t succeed. However, without losing his patience, he decided to prepare for one more year but this time he joined a coaching institute - Sythesis – in Bikaner. This time his hard work became fruitful and he managed to secure AIR 63 in All India Entrance Examination for Indian Council of Agricultural Research. He shared the credits of his success with his mentors Sh. Manoj Bajaj and elder cousin Sh. Rajpal (Scientist, BIS). He took admission in National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal (Haryana), which is a premier institute of Dairy Technology, in fact, the best institute of Asia.

After completing his B.Tech from NDRI, he got campus placement in a US based multi-national company where he served as an officer for 2-3 years but his interest was to impart the knowledge to students. Following his passion, he started giving free coaching to needy students while working in the same organization. Later, he left his high paying job and started full time teaching at an institute in Odisha, then moved to Pilani, and finally joined as HOD Mathematics at JK group of institute.

One thought which always pinched him while following his passion of teaching was that he didn’t use his knowledge gained from NDRI. So, he also started an agro business with the help of his younger brother Mr. Arvind Kumar (B.Tech, NIT Rourkela).

His journey was very challenging but he never became hopeless. His father always supported and motivated, and also stood beside him. He learned many humanity lessons from him like respecting others, love for human beings, etc. He believes that no failure can break you, it gives a new chance to explore yourself.

He is a very creative person and apart from his success in career he is also a good writer and writes poems, gazals and novels.
